Nigeria, others for US construction expo



Nigerians from every major construction company and allied services will join their counterparts from more than 91 countries around the world for this year’s edition of  CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2014.

The Niche PR, which gave this indication in a statement on Sunday, explained the newest equipment, technology and product breakthroughs in construction industry were usually unveiled at the event.
It said all arrangements had been concluded for the participation of the Nigerian team in the event.

“This year, Niche PR leads a team of Nigerian business technocrats and professionals in the building and construction industry to the event,” it added.

According to statement, officials of Niche PR, constructions companies and public sector institutions in the sector are all set to experience the expo.

It said, “Every three years, the Association Equipment Manufacturers organises CONEXPO/CON-AGG to unveil the newest equipment, technology and product breakthroughs in construction. These include earthshaking big iron to groundbreaking innovations in a prime exhibition tagged CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2014.”

The association, it stated, is a North American trade group bringing manufacturers and customers in the construction industry together.

It listed some of the groups that would be represented at the event as the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, Urban Shelter Limited, Oak Development, Subsidy Reinvestment Empwerment Programme, Neil Rivers State Ministry of Works, Afam Chris Nigeria Limited and Xenium Engineering Limited.
Others are Mezoll Resources, Loense International Limited, Pachus Nigeria Limited, Siva Engineering Limited and Goldsand Nigeria Limited, among others.

The CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the international gathering place in 2014 for the construction industries, it stated, adding that the exposition would showcase the latest equipment, products, services and technologies.

It is expected that over 2,400 exhibitors would attend the event, showcasing new products and technologies from every major construction industry such as asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, lifting, mining and utilities.

It noted that a comprehensive education programme during the five-day exposition with sessions emphasising industry issues and trends, management and applied technology would be part of the features for Conexpo/Con-Agg 2014.

Niche PR, it added, had supported the American Equipment Manufacturers in the last nine years in recruiting delegations to Conexpo/Con-Agg.
